We are taught that only a perfectly centered fighter can attack in any direction. It is important to own your attackers center. With a firearm you must be able to deliver multiple rounds to the center area and in quick succession. Gun fights occur from difficult angles unlike traditional style range practice when you are perfectly centered on your target. One of the developing facets of the IPD Handgun System is the ability to produce quick, appreciative and relevant results. The Users ability to shoot and defend themselves through a wide range of scenarios is quickly increased. The skill base is essentially obtained through working in harmony with natural muscle placement and the real effects on the Human body when under combat stress environments. The IPD Handgun System was developed to increase the performance of Users. Shooting with either hand or from either shoulder with a short or long weapon is a must have and can do. The IPD Handgun System describes off hand shooting as neither weak nor strong but rather the reaction side as set against the weapon side. Maybe some might well consider the statement that we have a ‘Preferred Side’ and the ‘Non-preferred’ side. In either case we need to be able to train with either hand or shoulder because sound tactical common sense demands it. The IPD Handgun System utilizes the reaction side forward and a bladed stance. The User utilizes the opposite eye to hand and feet position i.e. left hand, right eye, right leg forwards. Or right hand, left eye, left leg forwards and bladed towards the threat area. What the IPD Handgun System does is utilize a technique which allows for left eye right-hand convergence and natural target alignment. In essence the IPD Handgun system is a complete system that allows us to fire, move and retain our weapon in almost any situation and it is capable of being used by anyone. It is the unique use of the alternate eye to weapon hand that alleviates the double vision problems that occur when facing a threat head on. |
